The president (yeah, not capitalized) never ceases to amaze me. He goes in front of the Republicans during their retreat and blames them for "obstructing" progress.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the democrats, his party, had a filibuster proof majority for a year, and failed to accomplish anything (thank God!). So how did the republicans obstruct progress?

The president is giving them credit for a lot more power than they actually held. How about this Mr. O; the American people put the (deserved) fear of God into your party (and hopefully into the rhinos) and prevented your socialistic agenda.

I just wonder what color the sky is in his little fantasy world. Gotta hand it to him, he has some set of huevos.

Can we disagree on that? His LACK of stones seems to be the problem, IMHO. He's got enough arrogance for six people, but balls? Not as I define 'em. ;-)

LOL, I see your point and heartily agree. He has no stones, but arrogance in spades. I mistook his arrogance for actual testicular fortitude!

As those of the liberal set (read: democrats) rarely accept responsibility for their own failings, he has to find someone to blame.

Republicans just happen to be the convenient target. The one fails to realize that the American people aren't buying what he's selling anymore. He and his ilk (Reid, Pelosi, et al) have revealed themselves for the incompetent boobs they are.

I suspect Scott Brown is just a precursor of things to come.

Have you all been sleeping? Yes, the Dems had a filibuster-proof majority, and could have used it at any time; however, they decided not to bully their way through and instead asked for reasonable input from the R's. R's began complaining that they weren't getting enough attention and decided to gum up the whole thing with cruddy amendment after cruddy amendment until they got their way. And they really did, the healthcare bill now has very few things of merit in it, and the R's are still complaining. I really don't understand why the Dems even tried reaching, they should have just rammed what they wanted through, maybe then we could have got something meaningful. I would like to have all of the R's that are complaining about how things are now to the events in congress contemplate the last 10-15 years, and then refer them to a comment on the daily show about a year ago: "you lost, it's supposed to taste like a shit taco."

Your opinion. Doesn't hold water, but I spent my adult life fighting for your right to say it, so I'll leave your comment.

Besides, I didn't hear any acquiescence about the democrats enjoying their shit taco during the Bush administration. They certainly were vocal about their discontent.
